We first knew Hazel through her husband Eddie because Eddie was a schoolboy friend and we both played cricket. It was some years later that Eddie and I met up because his son Robert, i think , was playing in a cricket match on the other team which my son was playing and Eddie saw the name of Dring in the scorebook and asked Mark if i was his dad. This started up a fine friendship again and of course we were then meeting with his lovely wife Hazel. We had many lovely times on President’s Day at Sanderstead at the invitation of Eddie as he was a member. Hazel was always at the match with other good friends and we were able to enjoy Hazel’s company so much. This led to other outings with my wife Jackie and Hazel and Eddie and we became very fond of them and admired Hazel so much in the way she dealt with the loss of Eddie and her daughter Annette. Of course she had a great comfort from her daughter Stephanie and Family and Son Robert and Family.
